Job description

The logistics department is responsible for ensuring that all shipments to the tournament are managed properly, without conflict and in a timely manner. First and foremost, truck and lorry transports outside the hall must be received and directed to the correct entrances. Relevant contact persons on the tournament organisation end must also be notified. During the tournament week, the logistics team will mainly be responsible for parking and security at the St. Jakobshalle entrances.

Requirements

You are at least 20 years old, like working in a team and outdoors. You are flexible, solution-oriented, resilient and are highly perceptive. You can assert yourself and remain friendly and helpful. The responsibilities of the logistics department are extremely interesting and give insight into the structure of a major event. At the same time, this position is down-to-earth and requires organisational skills and a systematic approach.

Shift information

The position starts one week before the beginning of the tournament, ends on the Tuesday after the final and thus has a duration of seven to 16 days. Shifts are eight to 10 hours with relief for meal breaks.  Working hours during the tournament week will be reduced for some employees, because during matchplay, there are few deliveries and therefore more parking-related responsibilities. Work is carried out exclusively outdoors on the premises around St. Jakobshalle; appropriate clothing is provided. If interested, you will be sent further information after registration.
