ATP Tour 500 – EUR 2.584 million – 24 October to 1 November 2026
Valentin Vacherot has won Swiss Indoors Basel 2026. In the final, the unseeded Monegasque player (ATP 31) conceded one set to the eighth-seeded Jiri Lehecka on his way to winning 2–6, 6–3, 6–3 in one hour and 54 minutes. He is the first player from Monaco to win the title in Basel.
Turning point after the first set
Lehecka started strong and won the first set 6–2. After that, Vacherot found his game and took control of the match. He converted on match point when Lehecka’s backhand sailed just past the line. Vacherot waved his racket to the St. Jakobshalle crowd.
In
good company
For the 27-year-old Vacherot, it is his second title in his second ATP final, following his surprise victory at the Masters 1000 tournament in Shanghai a year ago. He joins Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic on the list of players who have won in Shanghai and Basel. On the way to the title, Vacherot defeated Mariano Navone, Rafael Jodar, Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz and Jiri Lehecka.
Strong
week for Lehecka
Jiri Lehecka also posted a strong showing in Basel. The Czech player defeated Stan Wawrinka in the last match of his career, bested Jérôme Kym and survived a match point against Jan-Lennard Struff in the semi-finals.
Excellent
week of doubles
Henry Bernet and Dominic Stricker were defeated in the doubles final by the third-seeded Frenchmen Théo Arribage and Albano Olivetti, who have been amongst the strongest pairs of the season. For their part, the Swiss wild card duo defeated the top-seeded Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz on their way to the final. On Monday, both players will join the recruit school for elite athletes in Magglingen.
Record-breaking

Swiss Indoors Basel 2026 attracted 67,600 attendees – the highest total since the Federer era. The week saw Stan Wawrinka’s farewell, the return of Novak Djokovic and Jérôme Kym’s victory over the world number 4.
